"I have hardly known a moment of life without the desire to create something...anything, and I seek to satiate that impulse every day. As an artist I am drawn to the story of things, the layers of exquisite depth and details of people, nature...life. I have little interest in static interpretations of the world, neither as artist nor observer, but rather, I find myself called into to the mystery and magic of the world and the deeper story of all things within it. Visual representations of my connections with and relationships to these stories are my art form, and reflect a moment of contemplation, an offering and a prayer."

 I am a native of California. Having spent the majority of my life in rural mountain communities, such as the breathtaking Sierra Nevada Mountains, the Sierra Foothills, the beautiful Redwoods of Mendocino County and Santa Cruz and the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of western North Carolina, my work is vastly influenced by the exquisite beauty of the natural world and my relationship to it.

I received my BFA from Sierra Nevada College in Incline Village, NV, on the beautiful shores of North Lake Tahoe, where I studied Painting, Drawing and Printmaking extensively.

In late 2021, my family relocated to the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont where I am filled with awe and wonder every day at the magic and beauty of this place!

I have exhibited my work widely, in countless group and solo shows, throughout California, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Tennessee and now Vermont. My work has been collected extensively both nationally and internationally (thank you crazy amazing internet!!!) and published in numerous local, national and international publications as well.

Teaching has forever been a huge love of mine! I have been passionately teaching art to all ages since 1989, offering such classes as: Drawing, Painting, Mixed Media, Collage, Book Arts, Printmaking, Basketmaking, Mask-making, Sculpture and more. My classes have been offered through various colleges, elementary, junior high and high schools, Art and Creative Centers, Symposiums,Granges etc, both private and public. I most recently taught fun and educational classes in Drawing and Watercolor for the Community Enrichment Program at ABTech in Asheville, North Carolina.
